  2.     The Hindus of India have a different version of how Earth came about.  The god Brahma made the universe from a golden egg.  Then he made the waters and put a seed in them.  This grew into an egg that was half gold, half silver.  When Brahma split it open, the heavens poured out of the gold half.  Earth came out of the silver half.
